Congressman Gerry Connolly, Keynote Speaker at the Welcome Reception for "Journey to Freedom"

Congressman Connolly addressing the Keynote Speech at the Welcome Reception for "Journey to Freedom of Vietnamese Refugees" on May 1st, 2009.

The Honorable Gerald E. Connolly has proposed to the Speaker of the House, the Honorable Pelosi, to have it on Congressional Record to recognize "April 30th, the Fall of Saigon" as a special date in history. On April 25th, Ms. Sharon Stark, District Director of the Office of Congressman Connolly came to the 34th Anniversary of the Fall of Saigon Ceremony at Eden Center to present a special Plaque with this Congressional Record to the Chairman of the Vietnamese Community of Washington DC, VA, MD.

The Vietnamese Americans in Virginia deeply appreciate Congressman Connolly for his understanding of the Vietnamese history, culture, heritage, and especially, our undying faith for true Freedom.
