Voice of Vietnamese Americans Participated in the Vietnamese Community Health and Resource Fair on August 2nd, 2009


Voice of Vietnamese Americans participated in the Vienamese Community Health and Resource Fair 09 at NVCC, Annandale Campus, on August 02, 2009. Beside free health care services given by the Vietnamese Medical Society of Northeast America, Voice of Vietnamese Americans collaborated with AREAA (Asian Real Estate Association of America,Fairfax County, and the Census Bureau, to provide services of Foreclosure Prevention, Census 2010 Awareness, Voter Registration, together with other services provided by many other organizations in the community.

Long waiting line since 7am, although event started at 09:00am.

Yen Nhi of VVA is helping a Vietnamese American at the table for Census 2010 Awareness and General Survey. Yen Nhi just graduated from the University of Virginia, and is serving the Vietnamese Community with a passion to make changes in the society.

Yen Nhi, an active VVA member who is a new UVA graduate, also is helping with Voter Registration.

Susan Soh (Wells Fargo) and George Soo Hoo (Title America, Board Member of AREAA) are greeting clients at the sign to Foreclosure Prevention.

Lan Anh, an active VVA member, State Farm Insurance agent, who is very passionate about serving the community, giving individual counseling to a member of the community regarding finacial sustainability. Lan Anh just opened her new office in Old Town, Alexandria. Lan Anh also is serving as the Vice President of MAUVSA (Mid-Atlantic Union Vietnamese Student Association). Lan Anh graduated from GMU (George Mason University).

Ms. Kim Lieu is helping clients at the US Citizen and Immigration Services.

Immigration and Naturalization services also were provided.
