April 5th: 2010 Census National Participation Rate: 56%

Voice of Vietnamese Americans thanks our members and volunteers who have participated in this process wholeheartedly. We still have a lot of work to do, including phone banking, canvassing, and reminding friends and relatives any chance we have to fill out and return the Census 2010 Questionnaires.

Some notable numbers as of this morning:

National: 56%
Virginia: 62%

Other states in our Charlotte Region:

Kentucky: 62%
North Carolina: 59%
South Carolina: 57%
Tennessee: 57%

Voice of Vietnamese Americans promoted Census 2010 in August 2010 at a Health and Community Resource Fair in Northern VA, with almost 2000 Vietnamese attendees.
