—President Barack Obama, May 22, 2009

To me, the thing that makes this internship special is that you’re given, in equal parts, analytical, independent tasks, and also learning opportunities that are entirely unique to the White House. As a result, you’re treated both as a colleague and a special guest. During my time as a White House intern, I have had experiences that I will remember forever. I have no doubt that this program will help guide my career decisions and prepare me for the working world.
