LETTER OF CONGRATULATIONS
TO THE EPOCH TIMES AND THE NEW TANG DYNASTY TELEVISION,
DC

Prof. Sen Nieh, Ph.D, President, the Epoch Times, DC,
Mr. Dong Xiang, Executive Director, the New Tang Dynasty Television, DC,

Dear Sir,

Voice of Vietnamese Americans congratulates the Epoch Times and the New Tang Dynasty Television, DC, on your commendable achievements in the leading roles of free and uncensored media. Thanks to your services and contributions, our Asian American Communities in the United States as well as other 33 countries globally, have been able to share meaningful stories that would impact people’s lives and the world around us.

On October 8th, 2010, the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Dr. Liu Xiaobo, a Chinese pro-democracy who is still being imprisoned for his “long and non-violent struggle for fundamental human rights in China”. This brought hope and faith to all pro-democracy and human rights advocates in suppressed countries such as Vietnam, North Korea, Myanmar, and Cuba. Hope that the truth will be revealed and respected. Faith that Human Rights are universal and will be restored and reclaimed by all people on earth.

This would not have been possible few years ago, however, the population is still unable to hear those news due to the Chinese Communist Party's propaganda and internal control apparatus constant pressure on the media in mainland China.

The world has been blessed by non-profit organizations such as the Epoch Times and the New Tang Dynasty Television, who tirelessly provide unbiased news to our readers in print and on the web. You have made such great difference in changing the world's view about what happened inside China, and all other Communist countries. The Epoch Times has given every Chinese freedom fighter a voice. The New Tang Dynasty Television has given every Chinese pro-democracy fighter a face. Thanks to the contribution of both media, the world learned that China is more than its rulers. Dr. Liu is one Chinese of many who are fighting for, indeed risking their lives for, democratic change in China. These media are the hope for a truly peaceful rise for China.

Voice of Vietnamese Americans congratulates NTDTV’s entrance to Washington DC free-to-air and cable market (at WDCW Ch50.3 and Verizon FiOS Ch482), and ET’s ten-year anniversary. Both media have risen up to a new level of leadership in communication. Let’s celebrate this accomplishment and celebrate the freedom of the press that we all enjoy in the United States.

We thank you for your contribution to the society, and wishing you all the best.

Sincerely,

Genie Giao Nguyen, Chair
Voice of Vietnamese Americans
