Dear Friends:

Please accept my best wishes as you celebrate Asian American Appreciation Day. I know that today's activities are an important opportunity for your community to renew the bonds of family, friendships, and cultural heritage. It is also an opportunity to remind ourselves of the shared vales and strong ties between United States and Asia.

The Asian-American community is a strong and vibrant part of Northern Virginia. I treasure my personal involvement with its members over many years. Throughout my time in the U.S. Senate, it has been a great privilege to represent your members and also to emphasize the strategic importance of our country's relationships in Asia. As your Senator, I am also personally grateful for your many gestures of support.

Again, congratulations to the organizers and to the participants from across Northern Virginia attending today's Appreciation Day.

Sincerely,

s/ Jim Webb
United States Senator
